Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchKutarkavādin (कुतर्कवादिन्) refers to “those who speak false reasoning”, according to the Yogabīja (137).—Accordingly, “Owing to the Guru’s favour, the breath is mastered, and because of that, the mind can be mastered by the breath. He alone is a yogin; he is happy and his senses subdued. Deluded people, [who] speak false reasoning (kutarkavādin), do not know [this]”.
Yoga is originally considered a branch of Hindu philosophy (astika), but both ancient and modern Yoga combine the physical, mental and spiritual. Yoga teaches various physical techniques also known as āsanas (postures), used for various purposes (eg., meditation, contemplation, relaxation).
