Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarykharakaṭēṃ (खरकटें).—n Any remainder of kharakaṭā food; any remaining particles or fragments of dressed anna (i. e. rice, bread, or flour of some kind); unless this dressed rice or flour have been fried or made up with oil previously to having been put into water: also any remainder of anna which, without dressing, has been mixed up with water and salt, or simply water. 2 fig. and freely. A money-affair lying unsettled. Ex. māgalēṃ kha0 kāḍhūna ṭāka maga dusarā paikā dēīna. Also an unclosed and troublesome matter gen. The word agrees with lāñjhā, under which see others of this class.
