Source: Terebess Ázsia Lexikon: Haṭha YogaJogpradīpakā (जोग्प्रदीपका):—This text is a Brajbhasha manual of yoga (which it does not call Haṭha Yoga) composed by the Rāmānandī Jayatarāma in 1737 CE. In it are taught 84 āsanas, 6 cleansing techniques, 8 kuṃbhakas, and 24 mudrās.
Yoga is originally considered a branch of Hindu philosophy (astika), but both ancient and modern Yoga combine the physical, mental and spiritual. Yoga teaches various physical techniques also known as āsanas (postures), used for various purposes (eg., meditation, contemplation, relaxation).
