garāḍī (गराडी).—f A cart-rut: also the rut or groove in which moves the wheel by which pebbles are crushed and mortar prepared.

gāradī (गारदी).—m A foot-soldier &c. See gāḍadī. And gāra- dāī its derivative signifies Insurrectionary tumult amongst such soldiers; and, hence, tumult, confusion, uproar, more generally: also dense and clamorous crowding; wild pressing and thronging: also laxly, ruin, disorder, damage, spoiledness; as dhanācī gā0, mālācī gā0, saṃsārācī gā0.
