dhuṇēṃ (धुणें).—v c (dhāvana S) To wash. 2 fig. To strip, bare, despoil, scour, purge; to clear utterly. Note. This verb, although transitive, may agree in the past tenses with the agent when the body or a member is the object. Ex. mī hāta dhutalōṃ, pāya dhutalōṃ, aṅga dhutalōṃ. dhutāñca jāṇēṃ (To go in the washing.) To be expended or consumed in a brief moment or to very little account, i. e. to be of trifling value.
