1. Pervasion, spreading; வியாத்தி. சூழ்ச்சி ஞானச் சுடரொளியாகி [viyathi. suzhchi gnanas sudaroliyagi] (நாலாயிர திவ்யப்பிரபந்தம் திருவாய்மொழி [nalayira thivyappirapandam thiruvaymozhi] 3, 2, 4).
2. Deliberation, counsel, consultation; ஆலோசனை. போற்றார்ப் பொறுத்த லுஞ் சூழ்ச்சிய தகலமும் [alosanai. porrarp porutha lugn suzhchiya thagalamum] (புறநானூறு [purananuru] 2, 7).
3. Wisdom; நுண்ணறிவு. கருமக் கிடக்கையுங் கலங்காச் சூழ்ச்சியும் [nunnarivu. karumag kidakkaiyung kalangas suzhchiyum] (பெருங்கதை உஞ்சைக். [perungathai unchaig.] 46, 117).
