Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection ICāritramanorathamālā (चारित्रमनोरथमाला) is the name of a work by Pārśvacandrasūri dealing with the Ethics section of Jain Canonical literature.—The Cāritramanorathamālā (in Gujarati) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The following divisions are seen: ḍhāla dūsarī, ḍhāla tījī. The Cāritramanorathamālā is a general didactic work inviting to avoid wrong actions, excessive possession, harmfulness, etc., to be aware of the human being’s ultimate loneliness. Then detailed exposition of the main categories of monastic behaviour: five great vows, necessary duties, tenfold conduct (daśa sāmācārī), Sthavirakalpa and Jinakalpa etc. Mendicants are clearly the targeted audience.
