Caramopāyanirṇaya (चरमोपायनिर्णय) is the name of a work authored by Nāyaṉār Āccāṉ Piḷḷai (traditional dates: 1227–1327), who was the nephew and adopted son of Periyavāccāṉ Piḷḷai.—The Caramopāyanirṇaya is a work that clearly endorses the view that taking refuge with Rāmānuja himself is central to salvation, thus making this a doctrinal position found well before contemporary belief.
