Attamaṉam (அத்தமனம்) noun < astamana.

1. Setting, as of the sun; கிரகங்கள் மறைகை. அத்தமன முதய மில்லை [kiragangal maraigai. athamana muthaya millai] (ஞானவாசிட்டம் தாசூர. [gnanavasittam thasura.] 7).

2. Destruction; அழிவு. உதயாத்த மனமறிவுக் குளவா காவே [azhivu. uthayatha manamarivug kulava kave] (பிரபோதசந்திரோதயம் [pirapothasandirothayam] 32, 18).
