The Poet

C. C. Javeri

In a poet’s creative mind
man’s dreams new horizons find,
the worldly themes celestialise.
In his eyes the time stands still
giving place to Eternity.
In his heart love spreads its wings
embracing the Universe.
On his lips words blossom into Truth,
translate into reality
–The Unknown, The Unseen.

His is the spirit that perceives order
in the indiscipline of chaos,
His power of words is his part of life,
In the environment he loses himself,
To ambiguity gives precision
From intuition seeks light,
Perceives what is beyond perception.

Sitting upon the lap of nature
he weaves from its silences
a web of inspiration and eloquence,
Pines for the broken idols of his dreams,
To mankind preaches the Gospel of Love.

Supreme Muse of purest joy,
Worshipper of essential Beauty,
Breath of Freedom, Voice of Humanity,
Alchemist of life, Apostle of Peace,
Exponent of nature’s mysteries,
He illumines the World,
Builds a bridge between Heaven and Earth,
And speaks to Man as Man,
pours balm into Man’s aching heart.
