Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 2.105:
इन्द्रियादिविकारेण दृष्टं ग्राह्येषु वस्तुषु ।
आत्मत्यागादृते भिन्नं ग्रहणं स क्रमः श्रुतौ ॥ १०५ ॥indriyādivikāreṇa dṛṣṭaṃ grāhyeṣu vastuṣu |
ātmatyāgādṛte bhinnaṃ grahaṇaṃ sa kramaḥ śrutau || 105 ||105. Objects, without giving up their real form are perceived differently as a result of some defect in our senses. The same is the case with words.
Commentary
[A defect in our eyes makes us see the same thing in different forms. In the same way, on account of artificial analysis, the same word can take on many forms.]
