देवानां रक्षणार्थाय
दैत्यानां हि वधाय च
वसुदेव-गृहे जातः
परिपूर्णतमो हरिः

devānāṃ rakṣaṇārthāya
daityānāṃ hi vadhāya ca
vasudeva-gṛhe jātaḥ
paripūrṇatamo hariḥ

devānām—of the demigods; rakṣaṇārthāya—for protection; daityānām—of the demons; hi—indeed; vadhāya—for killing; ca—and; vasudeva-gṛhe—in Vasudva's home; jātaḥ—born; paripūrṇatamo hariḥ—the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

English translation of verse 4.6.25:

To protect the devotees and kill the demons, the Supreme Personality of Godhead has taken birth in Vasudeva's home.
