The Garga-samhita Verse 1.9.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 9 (Description of Vasudeva’s Wedding) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-वसुदेव उवाच
नास्यास् तु ते देव भयं कदाचिद्
यद् देव-वाण्या कथितं च तच् छृणु
पुत्रान् ददामीति यतो भयं स्यान्
मा ते व्यथास्याः प्रसव-प्रजातात्

śrī-vasudeva uvāca
nāsyās tu te deva bhayaṃ kadācid
yad deva-vāṇyā kathitaṃ ca tac chṛṇu
putrān dadāmīti yato bhayaṃ syān
mā te vyathāsyāḥ prasava-prajātāt

śrī-vasudevaḥ uvāca—Śrī Vasudeva said; na—not; asyāḥ—of her; tu—certainly; te—of you; devaO lord; bhayam—fear; kadācit—ever; yat—what; deva—divine; vāṇyā—by the voice; kathitam—spoken; ca—also; tat—that; śṛṇu—listen; putrān—sons; dadāmi—i will give; iti—thus; yataḥ—because of whom; bhayam—fear; syāt—may be; mā—don't; te—of you; vyathāagitation; asyāḥ—of her; prasava-prajātāt—from the birth of sons.

English translation of verse 1.9.20:

Śrī Vasudeva said: O lord, you never need to fear this girl. Hear what the divine voice said. I will give you the sons that frighten you. Don't be afraid of the sons that may be born from her.
