The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.3.127, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 127 of Antya-khanda chapter 3—“Mahaprabhu’s Deliverance of Sarvabhauma, Exhibition of His Six-armed Form, and Journey to Bengal”.

“বৈরাগ্য সহিত নিজ ভক্তি বুঝাইতে যে প্রভু কৃপায অবতীর্ণ পৃথিবীতে ॥ ১২৭ ॥
“वैराग्य सहित निज भक्ति बुझाइते ये प्रभु कृपाय अवतीर्ण पृथिवीते ॥ १२७ ॥
“vairāgya sahita nija bhakti bujhāite ye prabhu kṛpāya avatīrṇa pṛthivīte || 127 ||
“vairagya sahita nija bhakti bujhaite ye prabhu krpaya avatirna prthivite (127)
English translation:
(127) “The Lord has incarnated in this world to reveal His own devotional service along with renunciation.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
To establish the insignificance of false renunciation, the need for proper renunciation, the uselessness of material enjoyment, the uselessness of dry renunciation, and the need for knowledge based on service, the eternal Personality of Godhead mercifully incarnated in this material world. In this way, Sārvabhauma composed one hundred verses, such as the verse beginning kālān naṣṭaṃ [verse 123].
