The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.2.44, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 44 of Antya-khanda chapter 2—“Description of the Lord’s Travel Through Bhuvaneshvara and Other Placesto Jagannatha Puri”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.2.44:

ক্রোধ করি’ বলে,—“মুঞি না খাইমু ভাত’ দিব্য করি’ রহে নিজ শিরে দিযে হাত ॥ ৪৪ ॥

क्रोध करि’ बले,—“मुञि ना खाइमु भात’ दिव्य करि’ रहे निज शिरे दिये हात ॥ ४४ ॥

krodha kari’ bale,—“muñi nā khāimu bhāta’ divya kari’ rahe nija śire diye hāta || 44 ||

krodha kari’ bale,—“muni na khaimu bhata’ divya kari’ rahe nija sire diye hata (44)

English translation:

(44) “In an angry mood, he may say, `I will not eat today.’ He may even touch his hand to his head and swear to that effect.
