The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.45, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 45 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.45:

`হরি’ বলি’ হাতে তালি দিযা কেহ নাচে উল্লাসে মদ্যপ-গণ যায তান পাছে ॥ ৪৫ ॥

`हरि’ बलि’ हाते तालि दिया केह नाचे उल्लासे मद्यप-गण याय तान पाछे ॥ ४५ ॥

`hari’ bali’ hāte tāli diyā keha nāce ullāse madyapa-gaṇa yāya tāna pāche || 45 ||

`hari’ bali’ hate tali diya keha nace ullase madyapa-gana yaya tana pache (45)

English translation:

(45) As the drunkards followed the Lord in jubilation, some clapped their hands and danced while chanting the name of Hari.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Some of the drunkards joyfully folded their hands, danced, and chanted the names of Hari as they followed Gaurasundara. Having received the association of the Lord and His devotees, the drunkards also became intoxicated in the mellows of devotional service to Hari.
