The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.44, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 44 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.44:

কেহ বলে,—“ভাল ভাল নিমাঞি-পণ্ডিত ভাল ভাব লাগে, ভাল গায নাট গীত” ॥ ৪৪ ॥

केह बले,—“भाल भाल निमाञि-पण्डित भाल भाव लागे, भाल गाय नाट गीत” ॥ ४४ ॥

keha bale,—“bhāla bhāla nimāñi-paṇḍita bhāla bhāva lāge, bhāla gāya nāṭa gīta” || 44 ||

keha bale,—“bhala bhala nimani-pandita bhala bhava lage, bhala gaya nata gita” (44)

English translation:

(44) One of them said, “Nimāi Paṇḍita is a good person. He is well- behaved, and He sings and dances nicely.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

When Nimāi Paṇḍita displayed the mood of an intoxicated person as He walked down the main street without entering the tavern, some people began to glorify Him and praise His expertise in musical arts like dancing, singing, and harmonizing.
