The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.13.164, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 164 of Madhya-khanda chapter 13—“The Deliverance of Jagai and Madhai”.

নিশা হৈলে কেহ নাহি যায গঙ্গা-স্নানে যদি যায—তবে দশ-বিশের গমনে ॥ ১৬৪ ॥
निशा हैले केह नाहि याय गङ्गा-स्नाने यदि याय—तबे दश-विशेर गमने ॥ १६४ ॥
niśā haile keha nāhi yāya gaṅgā-snāne yadi yāya—tabe daśa-viśera gamane || 164 ||
nisa haile keha nahi yaya ganga-snane yadi yaya—tabe dasa-visera gamane (164)
English translation:
(164) No one went to take bath in the Ganges at night, and if they did, they went in groups of ten or twenty.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Those who regularly took bath three times a day went to the Ganges at night in groups of ten or twenty due to fear of being attacked by Jagāi and Mādhāi.
