The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.10.274, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 274 of Madhya-khanda chapter 10—“Conclusion of the Lord’s Maha-prakasha Pastimes”.

কেহ কেহ পরিগ্রহ কিছু নাহি লয বৃথা আকুমার-ধর্মে শরীর শোষয ॥ ২৭৪ ॥
केह केह परिग्रह किछु नाहि लय वृथा आकुमार-धर्मे शरीर शोषय ॥ २७४ ॥
keha keha parigraha kichu nāhi laya vṛthā ākumāra-dharme śarīra śoṣaya || 274 ||
keha keha parigraha kichu nahi laya vrtha akumara-dharme sarira sosaya (274)
English translation:
(274) Some of them vowed not to accept anything from others and shriveled up their bodies by uselessly observing celibacy.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Some people took severe vows like that observed by Bhīṣma and passed their lives in bodily misery by following from childhood the vow of celibacy. Others took severe vows not to accept anything from anyone.
Yet because they did not realize the supremacy of devotional service, all their activities simply became miserable.
