The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.316, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 316 of Madhya-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Manifestation at the House of Shrivasa and the Inauguration of Sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.316:

‘সঙ্কীর্তন মানা কর’ এ গুলার বোলে যত তার শক্তি এই দেখিলি সকলে ॥ ৩১৬ ॥

‘सङ्कीर्तन माना कर’ ए गुलार बोले यत तार शक्ति एइ देखिलि सकले ॥ ३१६ ॥

‘saṅkīrtana mānā kara’ e gulāra bole yata tāra śakti ei dekhili sakale || 316 ||

‘sankirtana mana kara’ e gulara bole yata tara sakti ei dekhili sakale (316)

English translation:

(316) “You dared to stop saṅkīrtana on the advice of these fellows! Everyone has now seen what power they actually have.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase e gulāra bole means “as a result of hearing the Kazis’ words.” The word tāra means “their.”
