The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.314, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 314 of Madhya-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Manifestation at the House of Shrivasa and the Inauguration of Sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.314:

এবে হেন আজ্ঞা কর’ সকল-কাজীরে আপনার শাস্ত্র কহি’ কান্দাউ সবারে ॥ ৩১৪ ॥

एबे हेन आज्ञा कर’ सकल-काजीरे आपनार शास्त्र कहि’ कान्दाउ सबारे ॥ ३१४ ॥

ebe hena ājñā kara’ sakala-kājīre āpanāra śāstra kahi’ kāndāu sabāre || 314 ||

ebe hena ajna kara’ sakala-kajire apanara sastra kahi’ kandau sabare (314)

English translation:

(314) “Instruct your Kazis to recite your scriptures and make those creatures cry.’

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase āpanāra śāstra refers to their Koran scripture.

The word kāndāu means “make them shed tears.”
