The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.58, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 58 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.58:

সবেই বলেন,—“আজি বড দেখি হাস্য?” শ্রীমান্ কহেন,—“আছে কারণ অবশ্য” ॥ ৫৮ ॥

सबेइ बलेन,—“आजि बड देखि हास्य?” श्रीमान् कहेन,—“आछे कारण अवश्य” ॥ ५८ ॥

sabei balena,—“āji baḍa dekhi hāsya?” śrīmān kahena,—“āche kāraṇa avaśya” || 58 ||

sabei balena,—“aji bada dekhi hasya?” sriman kahena,—“ache karana avasya” (58)

English translation:

(58) They all said, “It seems you are very happy today?” Śrīmān Paṇḍita replied, “There is, of course, a good reason.”
