The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.59, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 59 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.59:

“কহ দেখি”বলিলেন ভাগবত-গণ শ্রীমান্-পণ্ডিত বলে,—“শুনহ কারণ ॥ ৫৯ ॥

“कह देखि”बलिलेन भागवत-गण श्रीमान्-पण्डित बले,—“शुनह कारण ॥ ५९ ॥

“kaha dekhi”balilena bhāgavata-gaṇa śrīmān-paṇḍita bale,—“śunaha kāraṇa || 59 ||

“kaha dekhi”balilena bhagavata-gana sriman-pandita bale,—“sunaha karana (59)

English translation:

(59) The devotees said, “Please explain.” Śrīmān Paṇḍita then said, “Please hear the reason.
