The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.8.170, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 170 of Adi-khanda chapter 8—“The Disappearance of Jagannatha Mishra”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.8.170:

পডিবারে তুমি বোল এখনি যাইবা ঘরেতে সম্বল নাহি,—কালি কি খাইবা?” ॥ ১৭০ ॥

पडिबारे तुमि बोल एखनि याइबा घरेते सम्बल नाहि,—कालि कि खाइबा?” ॥ १७० ॥

paḍibāre tumi bola ekhani yāibā gharete sambala nāhi,—kāli ki khāibā?” || 170 ||

padibare tumi bola ekhani yaiba gharete sambala nahi,—kali ki khaiba?” (170)

English translation:

(170) “You say that You will go to school now, but I have nothing left at home. What will You eat tomorrow?”

TRANSLATION

The word sambala comes from the Sanskrit root samb, which means “requirement” or “livelihood.”
