The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.4.70, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 70 of Adi-khanda chapter 4—“Name-giving Ceremony, Childhood Pastimes, and Thieves Kidnap the Lord”.

‘গরুড’ ‘গরুড’ বলি’ ডাকে সর্ব-জন পিতা-মাতা-আদি ভযে করযে ক্রন্দন ॥ ৭০ ॥
‘गरुड’ ‘गरुड’ बलि’ डाके सर्व-जन पिता-माता-आदि भये करये क्रन्दन ॥ ७० ॥
‘garuḍa’ ‘garuḍa’ bali’ ḍāke sarva-jana pitā-mātā-ādi bhaye karaye krandana || 70 ||
‘garuda’ ‘garuda’ bali’ dake sarva-jana pita-mata-adi bhaye karaye krandana (70)
English translation:
(70) All the people there called out, “Garuḍa! Garuḍa!” and the Lord’s parents cried out of fear.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Garuḍa is the king of birds and the chastiser of snakes. Even today people take shelter of Garuḍa or chant his name in order to get free from the fear of snakes.
