The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.3.28, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 28 of Adi-khanda chapter 3—“Calculation of the Lord’s Horoscope”.

হেন রসে পাছে হয দুঃখের প্রকাশ অতএব না কহিলা প্রভুর সন্ন্যাস ॥ ২৮ ॥

हेन रसे पाछे हय दुःखेर प्रकाश अतएव ना कहिला प्रभुर सन्न्यास ॥ २८ ॥

hena rase pāche haya duḥkhera prakāśa ataeva nā kahilā prabhura sannyāsa || 28 ||

hena rase pache haya duhkhera prakasa ataeva na kahila prabhura sannyasa (28)

English translation:

(28) The brāhmaṇa did not mention anything about the Lord’s accepting sannyāsa out of fear for creating a distressful condition amidst the joyous occasion.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Although the brāhmaṇa foresaw auspicious symptoms indicating the Lord’s acceptance of sannyāsa, out of fear of disturbing the festive atmosphere he did not disclose this unhappy news.
