The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.1.83, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 83 of Adi-khanda chapter 1—“Summary of Lord Gaura’s Pastimes”.

চৈতন্য-চন্দ্রের পুণ্য-শ্রবণ চরিত ভক্ত-প্রসাদে সে স্ফুরে,—জানিহ নিশ্চিত ॥ ৮৩ ॥
चैतन्य-चन्द्रेर पुण्य-श्रवण चरित भक्त-प्रसादे से स्फुरे,—जानिह निश्चित ॥ ८३ ॥
caitanya-candrera puṇya-śravaṇa carita bhakta-prasāde se sphure,—jāniha niścita || 83 ||
caitanya-candrera punya-sravana carita bhakta-prasade se sphure,—janiha niscita (83)
English translation:
(83) Hearing the pastimes of Śrī Caitanyacandra brings all auspiciousness, but know for certain that they are revealed only through the mercy of the devotees.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The meaning of puṇya-śravaṇa carita is found in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (1.2.17), which states: puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtanaḥ—“hearing and chanting of the Lord’s names and characteristics is supremely purifying.”
The author has accepted the pastimes of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu that he heard from the mouths of His devotees as the ingredients for the composition of this Śrī Caitanya-bhāgavata. By this example the author shows that one must follow the footsteps of the Vaiṣṇavas and accept the process of hearing in disciplic succession.
