Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationYūthikākusuma (यूथिकाकुसुम) or Yūthikākusuma refers to the “flowers of the Yūthikā plant”, which are used in the worship of Śiva, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.1.14:—“[...] with the splendid Yūthikā flowers (kusuma) he will not be deprived of a house. With Karṇikāra flowers he will secure plenty of garments (vastrasampatti)”.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
