Source: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryYathāvajjaṃ refers to: “as if to be blamed, ” i.e. (imitating) whatever is faulty, mimicry of deformities (as a forbidden pastime) D. I, 7 (=kāṇakuṇi-khañj’ādīnaṃ yaṃ yaṃ vajjaṃ taṃ taṃ payojetvā dassana-kīḷā DA. I, 86); Vin. II, 10.
Note: yathāvajjaṃ is a Pali compound consisting of the words yathā and avajjaṃ.
