Used with jāṇēṃ, To get into a passion or great anger: to be exacerbated or aggravated by error of diet or regimen--a malady, tumor, wound, sore: to be exasperated--a dispute or disagreement: to become exorbitant or extravagant--price, terms: to rise to an excessive pitch or degree generally: also to be destroyed or ruined--a friendship, an affection: to be marred--a counsel, scheme, measure, matter. (By some this formation is derived from vikha Poison, and its applications are interpreted accordingly.)
