Vijayaharṣa (विजयहर्ष) was the teacher of Dharmavardhana: the author of the “Savā sau 125 sīṣa” (dealing with the Ethics section of Jain Canonical literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—[...] Dharmavardhana belonged to the Jinabhadrasūri branch of the kharataragaccha. His direct teacher was Vijayaharṣa. The numerous didactic poems he composed used patterns of the contemporary padas and folk-songs. he thus contributed to their preservation.
