1. To be dazzled, as eyes by excessive brilliancy; ஒளிமிகுதியாற் கண் வெறித் துப்போதல். பலபூண் மினனாலுங் கண்கள் வெறி யோடி விட்டனவே [olimiguthiyar kan verith thuppothal. palapun minanalung kankal veri yodi vittanave] (மகாபாரதம் பதினேழாம்போர். [magaparatham pathinezhambor.] 168).
