Vāritavata refers to: (so read for cārita°) “having the habit of selfdenial” (translation) S. I, 28 (cp. K. S. I. 39 & 320 with note & Bdhgh’s explanation: “kilesānaṃ pana chinnattā vataṃ phala-samādhinā samāhitaṃ”), cp. bhāvanā-balena vāritattā dhammā etc. at Tikp. 14. (Page 609)

Note: vāritavata is a Pali compound consisting of the words vārita and vata.
