Vārātataṉālvantatumuṭittal (வாராததனால்வந்ததுமுடித்தல்) [vārā-tataṉāl-vantatu-muṭittal] noun < வா- [va-] + ஆ [a] negative + வா- [va-] +. (Grammar) A literary device by which the sense of a sūtra defectively expressed is rendered complete; ஒரு பொருண்மைக்கு வேண்டும் இலக்கணம் நிரம்ப வாராததோர் சூதசங்கிதை்திரத்தானே அங் ஙனம் வந்த பொருண்மைக்கு வேண்டும் முடிபு கொள்ளுந் தந்திர வுத்திவகை.
