vajapā (वजपा) [or बा, bā].—m (vajā) Excess or deficiency (of one substance, action &c. as allowed for and removed by deduction or supply from or to some other substance or action or at some other time). v kāḍha or nigha, & ghē, ghāla. 2 Freely. Counterbalanced state or counterbalance, compensation, excess or deficiency made square, equivalence as brought about. Ex. tyānēṃ malā māralēṃ kharēṃ hyācā va0 mī kāḍhavīna. vajapā nighaṇēṃ g. of s. is therefore To be counterbalanced or compensated. 3 Used as ad and prep In the balance of; in compensation for; in allowing or balancing deduction or addition; as icyā va0 dusarī vastū dyāvī.
