Sūryasahasranāma (सूर्यसहस्रनाम) or Sūryasahasranāmastotra is the name of a work dealing with Hymns and Rituals.—The Sūryasahasranāma-stotra (in Sanskrit) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The manuscript of the Sūryasahasranāma-stotra is rather faulty. this popular hymn is here said to come from the Bhaviṣyottara-purāṇa but generally rather ascribed to the Bhaviṣyapurāṇa (seventh kalpa, according to some popular editions).
