Śālibhadracaupaī (शालिभद्रचौपई) is the name of a work by Matisāra dealing with the lives of Jain teachers.—The Śālibhadracaupaī (in Gujarati) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The two main characters, Śālibhadra and Dhanna, are famous as illustrating the practice of proper alms giving to the Jain monk (Supātradāna) but this is only a small part of Matisāra’s eventful telling.
