1) A reflection, reflected image, an image or shadow. स्फुरन्नानारत्नस्फटिकमयभित्तिप्रतिफलम् (sphurannānāratnasphaṭikamayabhittipratiphalam) Ā. L.14; न बिम्ब त्वद्बिम्बप्रतिफलनलाभादरुणितम् (na bimba tvadbimbapratiphalanalābhādaruṇitam) Ā. L.

2) Remuneration, requital.

3) Retaliation, retribution.
