Cloth or carpet spread on the ground for persons of distinction to walk on; பெரிய.ோர் முதலியவர் நடந்துசெல்லத் தரைமீது விரிக்குஞ் சீலை. நாடு மகிழ வவ்வளவும் நடைக்கா வணம் பாவாடையுடன் . . . நிரைத்து [periyor muthaliyavar nadanthusellath tharaimithu virikkugn silai. nadu magizha vavvalavum nadaikka vanam pavadaiyudan . . . niraithu] (பெரியபுராணம் ஏயர்கோன்.
