Makācāntapaṉam (மகாசாந்தபனம்) [makā-cāntapaṉam] noun < mahā-sāntapana. A fast in which the six articles, viz., cow’s urine, cow-dung, milk, curds, ghee and water consecrated with quitch grass, are taken, one on each of six consecutive days; முதனாள் கோசலமும், இரண்டாநாள் சோமய மும், மூன்றாநாள் பாலும், நாலாநாள் தயிரும், ஐந்தா நாள் நெய்யும், ஆறாநாள் தருப்பைநீரும் உண்டு அனுட் டிக்கும் ஒரு விரதம்.
