Lopabalīyastva (लोपबलीयस्त्व).—The superior strength or superiority of elision as a grammatical operation in contrast with other operations, by virtue of which the elision, which is prescribed, takes place first and then other operations get a scope for their application; cf. सर्वविधिभ्यो लोपविधिर्बलीयान् (sarvavidhibhyo lopavidhirbalīyān) Par.Śek. Pari. 93.
