julūma (जुलूम).—m ( A) Tyranny, oppression, injustice; unjust compulsion or constraint. 2 It is used freely whenever vehement action, strenuous effort, or excessive labor is to be expressed. Ex. āja pāva- sānēṃ ju0 kēlā To-day it has poured in torrents; pōrānēṃ raḍaṇyācā ju0 kēlā The child is bellowing with might and main; mōṭhē julamānēṃ nadī ḍōṅgarāvarūna nēlī; myāṃ auṣadha julamānēṃ khāllēṃ. 3 Used also to express one's admiration or marveling emotion at witnessing any enormous magnitude or extravagant copiousness or plenty.
