Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryjamaṇēṃ (जमणें).—v i ( H) To assemble together; to gather or collect. 2 To congeal; to coagulate; to solidify or thicken gen. 3 To settle into compactness and firmness--the body. Ex. hēṃ rasāyana ghē mhaṇajē ēkā mahinyānta śarīra jamēla. 4 To accumulate, lit. fig.--vegetation, business, engagements. 5 To succeed or answer; to serve well or to proceed prosperously--a business, efforts, affairs. Ex. myāṃ phāra yatna kēlā parantu lagnācēṃ jamalēṃ nāhīṃ; saṃsāra jamata nāhīṃ. 6 To agree, accord, harmonize, match, blend, coalesce, consist in union--various ingredients, various dispositions. See jama. Also to be confounded or mixed up with: as hē parabhūmadhyēṃ jamūna gēlē. 7 To be full and melodious; to swell upon the ear--singing, chanting. Ex. ughaḍē jāgyāmadhyēṃ gāṇēṃ cāṅgalēṃ jamata nāhīṃ. 8 To become opulent or substantial; to thrive and prosper.
