Sanskrit, also spelled संस्कृतम् (saṃskṛtam), is an ancient language of India commonly seen as the grandmother of the Indo-European language family (even English!). Closely allied with Prakrit and Pali, Sanskrit is more exhaustive in both grammar and terms and has the most extensive collection of literature in the world, greatly surpassing its sister-languages Greek and Latin.

鋼牙 [gāng yá] [gang ya]—
1. Dentures (假牙 [jia ya]) made of stainless steel (不鏽鋼 [bu xiu gang]). For example: "In the past, the (gāngyá) (steel teeth) people had fitted were not aesthetically pleasing and have long since been replaced by 瓷牙 [ci ya] (cíyá) (porcelain teeth)."
2. Teeth (牙齒 [ya chi]) as sharp and hard as steel (鋼鐵 [gang tie]). In Romance of the Three Kingdoms (《三國演義 [san guo yan yi]》), Chapter 2: "Zhang Fei (張飛 [zhang fei]) was furious, his round eyes wide open, he gnashed his (gāngyá) (steel teeth) and dismounted from his saddle." In Journey to the West (《西遊記 [xi you ji]》), Chapter 20: "Four gleaming white (gāngyá) (steel teeth), and a pair of shining golden eyes (金眼 [jin yan])."
鋼牙：1.不鏽鋼製的假牙。如：「舊時人們鑲嵌的鋼牙不美觀，早已被瓷牙取代。」

矼牙 [gāng yá] [gang ya]—
The food (食物 [shi wu]) contained a hard object (硬物 [ying wu]), which injured the teeth (牙齒 [ya chi]) while chewing (咬嚼 [yao jue]). From Chapter Sixteen (第一六回 [di yi liu hui]) of Dream of the Red Chamber (《紅樓夢 [hong lou meng]》): "Mother (媽媽 [ma ma]) couldn't chew that much, so it's a good thing she didn't chip her teeth (牙 [ya]) (矼 [gang])."
矼牙：食物有硬物，在咬嚼時傷及牙齒。《紅樓夢》第一六回：「媽媽很嚼不動那個，倒沒的矼了他的牙。」
gāng yá: shí wù yǒu yìng wù, zài yǎo jué shí shāng jí yá chǐ. < hóng lóu mèng> dì yī liù huí: “mā mā hěn jué bù dòng nà gè, dào méi de gāng le tā de yá.”
gang ya: shi wu you ying wu, zai yao jue shi shang ji ya chi. < hong lou meng> di yi liu hui: "ma ma hen jue bu dong na ge, dao mei de gang le ta de ya."
