1) A dominion divided between two kings. तत्रभवतोर्भ्रात्रोः (tatrabhavatorbhrātroḥ)...द्वैराज्यमवस्थापयितुकामोऽस्मि (dvairājyamavasthāpayitukāmo'smi) M.5.12/13.

2) A frontier. चरच्चिरं शैशवयौवनीयद्वैराज्यभाजि त्वयि खेदमेति (caracciraṃ śaiśavayauvanīyadvairājyabhāji tvayi khedameti) N.8.59.
