Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarybāpaḍā (बापडा).—a sometimes bāpaḍīka a Poor, gentle, tender, harmless, inoffensive. Pr. āpalēṃ tēṃ bāpaḍēṃ dusaṛyācēṃ tēṃ kātaḍēṃ One's own boy is tender, another's is tough as leather (to stand a beating &c.) 2 Silly, helpless, weak, pitiful. 3 It is used expletively to express Indifference, carelessness, recklessness (respecting). Ex. karaṇāra tara kara bāpaḍaṃ mājhēṃ kāya gēlēṃ 4 bāpaḍā further means Orphan on the father's side.
