Source: archive.org: Puranic EncyclopediaBābhravyam (बाभ्रव्यम्).—A clan or gotra of Brāhmaṇas in Ancient India. It is mentioned in Mahābhārata, Śānti Parva, Chapter 342, Stanza 103 that the hermit Gālava belonged to this clan.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences.
