Aparāhṇatana (अपराह्णतन).—mfn.

(-naḥ-nā-naṃ) Belonging to or produced in the close of the day, also aparāhṇetana. E. aparāhṇa the end of a day, with dyu or dyul aff.

Aparāhṇatana (अपराह्णतन):—[=aparāhṇa-tana] [from apara] ([cf. Lexicographers, esp. such as amarasiṃha, halāyudha, hemacandra, etc.]) ([Pāṇini 4-3, 24]) mfn. belonging to or produced at the close of the day.

Aparāhṇatana (अपराह्णतन):—m. f. n.

(-naḥ-nī-nam) 1) The same as aparāhṇetana q. v.

2) Having endured, come over, i. e. studied during, the last part of the day, as a pupil &c. (see aparāhla). For the last meaning which is the counterinstance to the identity in meaning of aparāhlatana and aparāhletana comp. the explanation given s. v. pūrvāhlatana. E. aparāhla, taddh. aff. ṭyu or ṭyul, āgama tuṭ.
