Amātrāvadāhāra (अमात्रावदाहार):—Taking inappropriate quantity of food, is of two types deficient and excessive. Food in deficient quantity is said to be causinng loss of strength, complexion & development, unsaturation, upward movement of vayu, harms the lifespan, virility, immunity etc food in excessive vitiating all dosa’s. fainting, giddiness, irregularity of digestion, stiffness of flanks etc.
