Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchAmanaskavivaraṇa (अमनस्कविवरण) is the name of a chapter of the Amanaska Yoga treatise dealing with topics as absorption (laya), yogic powers (siddhi) and liberation, presented in the form of a dialogue between Īśvara and Vāmadeva.—The Madras University's New Catalogus Catalogorum records almost fifty manuscripts of this text under the entry Amanaska, and it adds that the text is also known by the names of Amanaskakalpa, Amanaskayoga, Amanaskavivaraṇa, Ātmabodha or Svayambodha. [...] The colophons of two Jodhpur manuscripts (J1 J4 ) and the printed edition (PE1 ), which was based on them, confirm that the name Amanaskavivaraṇa is that of the second chapter and not of the text.
